Brooklyn Bridge Centennial Ashtray – Chipped

Back in the early 80s, the 1983 Brooklyn Bridge Centennial was a big deal, even out in California, mainly because the public television universe orbited around the big cities, particularly New York City.

So we got a heavy dose of it through a miniseries Brooklyn Bridge, by Ken Burns, narrated by David McCulloch. This was way back before Ken Burns was well known, but his style was already evident.

This ashtray was from that era of bridge hype.  I think people smoked a lot more back then, too.
